This year, I am honored to have been accepted as a candidate in the 2018 Students of the Year program, a seven-week fundraising effort in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Running under team Young Hearts, my best friend and I will lead a team of 7 other team members from Woodson High School, along with the support of our school's club. 

Over the past few years, with my growing invovlment in this case I have been gifted the opportunity to meet and connect with hundreds of other students who share in my passion for philanthropy, those who have been effected by cancer, and smiling strangers whom extend a helping hand out of the goodness of their hearts. The result of my experiences have been an amazing community and the ability to witness the changes my fundraising dollars have made on blood cancer research.
