Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you so much for showing interest in our campaign!

We are so honored to be a part of the 2018 Students of the Year Campaign! Between January 11th and March 3rd, we pledge to raise funds and awareness for Leukemia and Lymphoma. The team who raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Students of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money, but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. Please consider making the most of your donation by checking if your buisiness offers a matching program. Your contributions not only support LLS-funded research, but also help provide critical information, support for patients, and advance advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.

Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate! On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, we thank you for your support!

For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org  or email panthers.against.cancer.2018@gmail.com

Why Your Donation Matters!

  •     Already in 2017, the FDA has approved 13 new blood cancer treatments or new indications, and LLS has supported virtually all of them. (https://www.lls.org/lls-us-hq/news/fda-approves-new-targeted-therapy-for-aml)
  •       LLS drives research to bridge the gap between academic discovery and drug development.  This year, we are committing $46 million in new research, bringing our total active research portfolio to 258 grants.
  •      Our Information Resource Center responds to approximately 2,000 inquiries per month and LLS has supported over 74,600 patients with more than $323 million in co-pay financial assistance since inception.

This Years Honored Hero

Meet Lance Bigelow! He is 14 years old and attends DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. When Lance was 29 months old, he was diagnosed with Acute Myelogous Lymphoma (AML). Between October 2005 and March 2006, Lance underwent procedures, chemotherapy, and blood tranfusions. Thankfully, he has been in remission for 12 years!
