Chase Daneker | Team Close Cares
Welcome to Chase Daneker's SOY Fundraising Page!
Dear Friends and Family,
This year I will be joining a few of my friends at St. Albans and the National Cathedral School in the LLS Student of the Year Campaign in an effort to fund the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's mission of curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improving the quality of life of patients and their families. Thank you so much for your support and donations. We are so glad to have you help us in our campaign!
Why should I donate?
Approximately every 3 minutes, someone in the United States is diagnosed with blood cancer. In 2017, an estimated 172,910 people were diagnosed with some form of blood cancer. LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled. These donations can and do make a difference.
What happens to my donations?
Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. Furthermore, LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis. Donations not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well. Finally, as if that were not enough, all donations are tax deductible!
How can I help besides donating money?
For this campaign to be successful, it truly has to be a community-wide effort. Tell your friends, your family, your coworkers; together we can make a difference. Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!
