Welcome to my fundraising page! I'm Sasha Hanson from Team Crushing Cancer!

I am honored to participate in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Students of the Year campaign. For seven weeks, starting January 18, 2020, high school students will be raising awareness of the research, programs, and advocacy being conducted through LLS in addition to funds to support their mission to cure blood cancers. I will be representing The Bullis School and the DC Metro Area. A goal for my team is to raise $75,000 between January 18th and March 7th. It’s a lofty goal, but I, along with my group, are willing to work hard to reach it.

 I am participating in this campaign with several of my family members in mind  My grandmother on my mom's side, Nanny was diagnosed with cancer in 2005, and my grandmother on my dad's side was diagnosed with Leukemia around the same time. Thankfully, these two amazing women survived the fight against cancer; however, I know this is not the case for many who have had cancer. I am participating in this campaign to raise money and help further research to find a cure so that no other family has to go through the emotional suffering that my family and I went through.
