Dear Friends and Family,

You know what’s life changing?? Watching your brother fight for his life!

I have been waiting a long time to be old enough to run for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Student of the Year (SOY) campaign. I have had a lot of time to think about how I was going to help cure blood cancer and I can’t wait to make a big impact, but I am going to need your help!

The SOY campaign is a 7 week event where I will try to raise as much money as I can for blood cancer research and spread awareness through events, sponsorships, and donations. I will be competing with close to 40 other high school teams from around the District, Maryland and Virginia and I have to tell you, I want to win - not for the trophy, but for my brother and the mission!

I have set my fundraising goal really high because it is a super important cause to me, especially this year because of LLS’s Pediatric Initiative. I sure would like to raise $100,000 so I can beat my brother’s $95,000 total when he participated in the same campaign in 2017!! #SiblingRivalry 😁

Together with Alex Waldren, Carly Odell, Claire Beucher, Kiley Rutland, Maya Yapur, Maddie Tan and Phil Mercado, we have formed our team, Kyle’s Army 2.0, in honor of my brother and we are incredibly proud to represent Our Lady of Good Counsel High School! 💙💛
