Students of the Year Washington DC
Farah Pahlavi | Team Crushing Cancer
I was only 14 when I overheard the doctor tell my mom she had cancer. The room was so quiet and the doctor was so loud over the phone. I heard the doctor say that the test results came back, and "its cancer". I never thought something like this would happen to us.
So, when I was nominated to be the student of the year, I accepted my nomination in honor of my mom who is a breast cancer survivor. I'm so lucky that she had access to the latest treatments and cures. LLS is one of the largest organizations that funds not just blood cancer research but all cancer research. This research saved my moms life and I want to help other peoples moms and loved ones survive too. I’m asking you to support my campaign. My team and I set a goal of $150,000 and with your help, I know we can get there.
