OUR HERO: KELLY BRODNIK
My team and I, are participating in this campaign in honor of our schoolmate Kelly Brodnik. Kelly passed away last September and her loss truly impacted our entire community. The way everyone came together to support one another in a time of struggle was astounding to me, and it showed how a little love and compassion can truly change the world. We love you Kel!
Catching up with Bree!
Hello Family and Friends! I am currently a sophomore at Georgetown Visitation and am loving it. I have a passion for advocacy, photography, criminal justice and psychology. I played on my school's soccer team this fall, as well as on my travel team. My passion for the Student of the Year Campaign is sprung from my love of helping others. Partnering with LLS for this cause has allowed me to push myself out of my comfort zone, putting my skills as an intellectual to the test.
My team and I have been hard at work since September, and we are ready for all of the fun to begin! Our goal is to raise $100,000 for the cause, so I promise you, any donation you make counts!
Please look out for future fundraising events and donation opportunities!

Welcome To My Fundraising Page!
I am honored to be participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2020 Students of the Year (SOY) campaign, a seven-week initiative in which high school students from around the country are nominated to participate in a fundraising competition to benefit LLS’s mission: to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
I am raising funds in honor of Kelly Brodnik, a member of the Georgetown Visitation community who passed away last year, and those who are currently battling or are in remission from a blood cancer. Each dollar is a vote and the team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Students of the Year. As a team, our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.
S.W.A.T. 3.0's main mission is to strengthen our communication skills through out philanthropic efforts and to share our cause with those around us. Every dollar donated counts towards the cause, no matter how large or small.
Join S.W.A.T. 3.0 in our fight against cancer!

We are donating on behalf of S. Steven 'Spike' Karalekas, a family friend and amazing man who lost his battle with leukemia on 11/28/19. I'm so sorry that you also had to lose a schoolmate; this is a powerful way to honor her. May Kelly continue to be a guiding light for S.W.A.T. 3.0 and in everything you set out to do as Carrie Jenkins remains one of mine. <3
