Hi, my name is Tahmid Ullah and I am a student at Dominion High school. I am honored to participate in the 2019 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I am proud to be raising critical dollars in honor of my late uncle who had passed away from Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Each dollar is a dollar spent to save a life. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student(s) of the Year. Our mission is to raise money to start a immunotherapy research grant and additional funds that help save lives of patients.

My uncle, the late Dr. Muzzammel passed away 8 years ago on March 19, 2011 from cancer. He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Please continue to support this research grant portfolio as well as other treatments through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by making a donation to my Students of the Year campaign fundraising page.  Even though there was no cure in my uncle's lifetime, lets continue to support his legacy of helping others by supporting the cancer research through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. My uncle was the most humble and generous person I knew. His whole life he would always help others.
