For My Grandma

My incredibly loving, energetic, caring, generous, fun-loving, and all-around amazing grandmother Marcia Feeney lost her battle with ovarian cancer and chronic lymphocytic leukemia this past week.  I dedicate this campaign in loving memory to her, my biggest role model and inspiration.  Thank you, Grandma, for showing me persistance and strength, and for teaching me to connect with and find the beauty in others.  You always helped everyone feel their importance, and I always will cherish the wonderful times we had together.

Thank you to all for your donations to further research for blood cancers. I love more than you know, Grandma- Rest in Peace.

Love, Megan

Welcome to Megan Jungers' SOY Fundraising Page!

Jan 14, 2019

I am honored to participate in the 2019 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I am proud to be raising critical dollars in honor of a young patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer. Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student(s) of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.

Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!

Countdown to Kickoff!

Hi All!

The Students of the Year Campaign is nearly here, and I could not be more excited! Team LHS for LLS and I are so excited to work for the next 7 weeks to raise as much money as we can to continue the fight against blood cancers!  For the last 6 months, we have been preparing with team meetings and learning all that we can from past candidates, and with January 10th right around the corner, we can't wait for our campaign to start!  In the coming weeks, we have a huge fundraising goal- $30,000- and we need your help to reach it! Thank you for helping my efforts to rid the world of blood cancers!

For a Cure,

Megan

Campaign Launch!

Hi Everyone!

We're officially live, and can now accept donations! Thank you to everyone who aids in our effort to rid the world of blood cancers!

It is extremely important to remember the impact that each donation makes- I was particularly inspired this weekend while I was at L.L.S. headquarters in the Nation's Capital, and saw their mission on the wall: I thought it was a difinitive reminder that all of our hard work will create a better change in the world!

Thank you for all that you are doing to help us over the next 7 weeks!  I appreciate your generosity and support throughout this amazing journey!

For a Cure,

Megan
