Gators Beat Blood Cancer Team:
Dear Friends and Family,
Welcome To My Fundraising Page!
I am so excited and honored to participate in the 2019 Students of the Year program. I am very delighted and to be given this opportunity to help those affected by blood cancers.
The Student of the Year program is a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS is the largest contributor to blood cancer research in the nation. LLS uses raised money for research, education, and support and advocacy. LLS supported therapies not only helping blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and diseases.
During this seven-week campaign from January 10th- March 2nd, the campaign goal is to raise 2.25 million dollars. Each team competes against each other, in a battle where the team with the most money wins. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.
I am proud to be raising critical dollars for the LLS honored hero, Meaghan Kilner, who goes to Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart with me and is in remission from lymphoma. Doctors diagnosed Meghan with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in her freshman year. She underwent chemo, radiation, and stem cell transplants. Meaghan Kilner is a true inspiration and brings love to school every day.
I have been personally affected with Leukemia through Meaghan and my grandfather. My grandfather had leukemia and passed before myself when I was 2 years old. I heard he was an exceptional man who fought in World War II and I wish I had more time to spend with him.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
Please consider supporting Gators Beat Blood Cancer for Meaghan and for all the children who are battling this life-threatening disease. The money raised will go directly to support research to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Don't stop there! Please visit our website and forward this message to your friends and family who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, THANK YOU for your support!
