Joseph Ostrowski | Amelia's Allies's

Welcome to Joseph Ostrowski's SOY Fundraising Page!

Jan 12, 2019

Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.

Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!

About Me

Jan 12, 2019

My name is Joe Ostrowski and I am taking part in the LLS Student of the Year Campaign this year along with the rest of my team, Amelia's Allies, led by Peyton Koberg and Ritisha Sharma, with the goal of raising as much money for Leukemia and Lymphoma research as possible. I was born and raised in a military family to a Marine Corps pilot, John, and a Navy doctor, Cheryl Ostrowski, and have lived all around the country, as well as outside the United States. I, along with my LLS teammates, am now a senior at Robinson High School in Fairfax, Virginia and plan to attend the U.S. Naval Academy after high school for the next four years and hope to pursue a military career in the long term. My life has been one that has been heavily influenced by sports, my family, and most importantly, God. I am participating as a team member in this campaign to help those who are not given the opportunities to experience these wonderful blessings because of their battles with cancer. I want to do my part to help the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society find a cure and make life better for those families and individuals afflicted by blood cancer.

The Bible says in 1 John 3:17 "But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?" I truly believe that God's love lives within all of us, and that we, who have been blessed with our health and good fortune, have the means to solve a problem even as immense as cancer and help those of our brothers and sisters who are in need of assistance. I hope you not only decide to donate to this great cause, but keep in your prayers those fighting Leukemia, Lymphoma, and all other types of cancer. Thank you
