Welcome to Dylan Hitt's SOY Fundraising Page!

Jan 09, 2019

Thank you for taking the time to click on my link.  I am honored to participate in the 2019 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student(s) of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

Team BELIEVE in a Cure, made up of seven high school juniors,  two Georgetown Prep students and five Holy Child students, is raising critical dollars in honor of all of those who have fought and are currently fighting cancer. My team members and I wanted to do this campaign because we have all had family members and friends who have been impacted by cancer so we thought this would be a unique opportunity fo us to help cure cancer and help those currently fighting cancer. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens. We are determined to raise $50,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and we believe we can do it with your help!

Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer! As a member of Team BELIEVE in a cure, I will keep you updated on all that I learn as we work together to educate and make an impact.

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.

Please visit our website often and if you want to forward our link to your friends, know that we appreciate every visit.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!  The hope I have is that by working together, a day will come where cancer does not play a role in any of our lives.  Being a part of this competition is just the beginning.
