Welcome to Bea Webster's SOY Fundraising Journey!
Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who came to the Kendra Scott fundraiser last night! With your help, we were able to fundraise close to $400! 💗
A BIG Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Foster's Grille fundraisers! The past three Fridays have been extremely successful due to the overwhelming support!
Welcome to Beatrice Webster's SOY Fundraising Page!
I am honored to participate in the 2019 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I feel very honored to have the opportunity to raise critical dollars in honor of a young patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer. My personal goal is $10,000. I know with your help I can surpass this goal. Overall, my team's goal is to fundraise $25,000, and our reach goal is $50,000. I know with your donation, that this goal is attainable. Every dollar counts. Please join me in this fight against blood cancers. I have seen first hand how horrible these cancers are.
Almost eight years ago, one of my very best friends, Claudia, lost her brother, Ryan, to Leukemia. Ryan was 7 years old. In the summer of 2011, he went to the hospital and was diagnosed with Leukemia. One month later he passed away. Ryan was one of the most happy, lively, and beautiful human beings I have ever met despite his hardships. Ryan had Down Syndrome and Epilepsy. I am doing this fundraiser in Ryan Drake's memory. With your donation LLS will be able to provide treatments and support for families like Ryan's.
(Claudia & Ryan when they were little)
Please donate to allow for these blood cancer patients to have a chance of getting the treatments they need. I cannot do it alone, and for your support, I thank you.
(Claudia and I eating ice cream this summer) (Can you tell I love ice cream?!)
The candidate team that raises the most money (hopefully my team with your support) at the end of the seven weeks is named Students of the Year. My team's mission, Statesmen for a Cure, is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.
Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
Please visit my website page often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!

Good luck with your fundraising. I have a friend who is fighting this disease and thankfully doing well after a bone marrow transplant. I hope others will be as successful.

Two boys with big smiles are missing from the gaggle of young teens in our neighborhood, Ryan Drake and Michael Glennie. Our four children have experienced the deaths of six children in the last 10 years. I wish we could donate more. We're proud of you, Beatrice Buell Webster, for taking action that will make a difference!
