The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission is to cure Leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, Myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS is the largest contributor to blood cancer research in the nation. LLS uses raised money for research, education and support and advocacy. During this 7 week campaign from January 10th- March 2nd, the campaign goal is to raise 2.25 million dollars. Each team competes against each other, in a battle where the team with the most money wins.  Please donate to help find a cure.

This year's Honored Hero is Meaghan Kilner! Each year the Campaign is dedicated to a local patient or survivor.  Meaghan is a junior at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, MD. Doctors diagnosed Meghan with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in her freshman year. She underwent chemo, radiation, and stem cell transplants. In her sophomore year, she joined her school’s cancer awareness team called Gators Beat Blood Cancer. Meghan raised over $10,000 during her first diagnosis for the Light the Night Walk. Meghan is very artistic and enjoys running track and swimming. Meghan is a true inspiration. We are so happy to have such an intelligent and bright young lady as our honored hero!!!

I joined the LLS campaign because I was strongly inspired to help find a cure. I was touched by the many stories and families I had heard from that were immensely impacted by LLS. LLS changes lives and helps raise money and awarness for research on new treatments. I also wanted to participate in a leadership experience. I was touched by the motives behind LLS and you should be too!
