Thank you for visiting my Students of the Year fundraising webpage! Although the funds raised online from this point forward won’t impact the competition for the Triangle Student of the Year, I’m proud to be continuing my efforts. Cancer hasn’t stopped, and so neither have I. I’m honored to be continuing my fundraising and working towards a special award for going “Above and Beyond,” as I know the need for the life-saving work of LLS is greater than ever!
With that in mind, I’ll be continuing to raise funds RIGHT now until the Grand Finale on June 18th. I appreciate your endless support to find a cure for blood cancers!
Welcome to my Student Fundraising Page! Scroll down to learn about the impact we are trying to make!
I am honored to participate as a canidate for the 2020 Students of the Year program, a seven-week fundraising competition that benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. LLS is an organization that funds bloodcancer research, patient support, and advocacy. I am fundraising this year in memory & honor of Charlotte L Stickler. My grandmother who lives in Maryland used to take Charlotte out to get grocieries, and one day when I was visiting her she brought me along. This was the beginning of our friendship, and soon we became pen pals. One day she wrote me a letter explaining that she had to drop out of highschool to support her sibblings. Later in life she went back to school, and at 70 years old she earned her highschool diploma. Unfotunatley, Charlotte not too long ago suffered from lymphoma, and she has recently passed away. Seeing how cancer could so easily degrade someone so strong and caring has inspired me to support the LLS mission. Any contribution will get us one step closer to finding a cure! Please consider donating!!!
On behalf of Charlotte and blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!
