This year, we are proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for cancer research. The heart of our mission is funding the relentless pursuit of groundbreaking discoveries and innovative treatments to combat leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma. We have all seen the effects that blood cancer has on a community, and we are determined to better the lives of patients like Charlie.

Each year the Student Visionaries of the Year campaign selects an Honored Hero to dedicate their campaign to. Our Charlotte Honored Hero is Charlie Ward - Charlie is 4 years old and is currently battling cancer for the FOURTH time. We dedicate our campaign to Charlie and his continued fight with LLS in their ongoing battle against blood cancers. 

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients

• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.

• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

As we navigate the intricate landscape of scientific progress, your support and engagement become crucial pillars in driving forward our mission.
