Thank you so much for supporting my Students of the Year Campaign! 

Hello and thank you for visiting our fundraising page! We are Team Butterfly Effect, lead by co-candidates Catherine Tiddy and Brielle Nugent. As a group, we all have unique "why's", encouraging us to work with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in order to support cancer patients everywhere. With this opportunity, we are so excited to work with family, friends, and supporters to incite tangible change in our community!

With an estimated 1,519,907 people in the United States currently living with or in remission from various blood cancers, the tragedy of this disease can be felt by almost every individual. Co-candidate Catherine Tiddy remembers her grandmother's fight against Leukemia as she currently lives in remission. Every donation made will work to support these patients and their families, providing them care and comfort during times of such uncertainty. 

So, what is the butterfly effect? It is the phenomenon in which large consequences are dependent upon small changes, like taking a different route to work and meeting someone who would remain in your life for years. In deciding on a name, we were most impressed by the ability of each donation to impact someone's life. With every dollar donated, we take small but steady steps that are imperative to the fight toward a cure. Therefore, Team Butterfly Effect felt very fitting. 
 
All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. We have a goal of fundraising $50,000 for patients and their families an would love for you to go big with us! They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well. Whether you can spare $5 or $50, we cannot express our gratitude for your support! Let's create a world in which every cancer patient is a survivor, one small step at a time.
