The three pillars of the LLS mission are research, access, and advocacy. Each is crucial in the fight against cancer. My team's mission is to make an impact in cancer research developments. About $1.6 billion have been invested into blood cancer research and have improved technologies like immunotherapy, genomics, and personalized medicine. Every donation makes a difference and can contribute to the advances made in cancer research. I appreciate everyone's support and every donation put forth to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

The opportunity to make a difference in fighting cancer stood out and I wanted to take the chance to participate in the campaign that will further help fight the battle against cancer. Sydney Schuler is a five-year-old diagnosed with leukemia and I can only imagine the difficult things she has been through as a little kid. I want to support her in her battle against leukemia and help raise awareness about the realities of cancer.

 Katherine is a junior at St. Mary's Dominican High School. She is on Varsity Cross-Country and is involved in the National Honor Society, National Spanish, Math, Science, and English Honor Societies, Biotechnology Club, and Student Ambassadors. She also loves to help others and spread kindness. Katherine is participating in Student of the Year in honor of the honored heroes Lawson and Sydney and wants to make an impact in the fight against blood cancer. She is excited about the opportunity to raise money for a good cause and cooperate with others.
