Kathleen Tomlinson | Krewe De Cure

Welcome to Kathleen Tomlinson's SOY Fundraising Page!

Apr 03, 2019

Join me in supporting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) by supporting my team Krewe De Cure. In the end, all the 2019 Student of the Year candidates win because all money raised goes to LLS in the form of lifesaving support and cutting edge research.

One aspect of what LLS does is advocacy, not only has LLS funded 19/21 FDA blood cancer treatments just this year, but they also work to ensure that all patients can have access to these treatments. LLS has helped 55,000 patients access affordable treatments, and our goal is to have all patients recieve such treatments without finachial worry.

LLS strives to cure all cancer, and our advocacy is to aim for patients to be able to pick up any chemo medication as easy as picking up Advil at a drug store.

Any form of finachial support goes directly to this cause. One dollar donated is one dollar closer to funding the cure to cancer. Join my cause for finding a cure.

With love,

Kathleen (Coco) Tomlinson

My Reason Why

Mar 22, 2019

One year ago my family was struck with tragedy with the loss of our beloved Alaina to cancer. Alaina was not only my cousin, but my nanny, bestfriend, and hero. Alaina always lit up a room and was there for me through my struggles. My family and I miss Alaina more and more everyday and I know she is proud of me for doing this. LLS is an organization that supports patients and families. My passion is to raise as much as I can because I know the money is going to an amazing cause. I understand the pain cancer causes on families and the lasting impact it has, so I share a vision with LLS to cure all cancer. I can not wait to see what we can accomplish in the next seven weeks. Beating cancer is in our blood!:)

Welcome to Kathleen Tomlinson's SOY Fundraising Page!

Sep 06, 2018

I am honored to participate as a team member for the 2019 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I am proud to support my candidate and am raising critical dollars in honor of a young patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer. Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.

Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!
