My life was personally impacted by blood cancer last April when my best friend, Joe Montplaisir was diagnosed with lymphoma.  Joe and I have been friends since we were about five years old when we met through wrestling. We have had years of wrestling camps, hunting, fishing and all the normal things boys do as they are growing up.  The last couple years we have been co-captains of the Zimmerman High School wrestling team. All of this changed when he received his diagnosis. In addition to fighting cancer, his interactions with friends and family have mainly been virtual because of COVID. I want to do all I can so that other people don’t have to go through this battle.  And LLS is truly making a difference! My goal is to raise $50,000 so I can link Joe’s name to an LLS funded research grant. This would be a wonderful way to honor him.
