When Betsy was diagnosed with leukemia 12 years ago, we faced many unknowns. We weren't sure where the path would lead or how we would walk the tightrope to a cure. But there was one thing that kept us steady through the journey: our family. 

Our daughters, Julia and Molly, brought joy to our lives even on the darkest days. They made us smile. They kept things in perspective and reminded us what was really important.

Today Betsy is cancer free thanks in part to research that was funded by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). 

In an effort to give back, I'm proud to announce that Julia has decided to participate in the Student of the Year campaign to benefit LLS. Julia is competing against other students from around MInnesota to see who can raise the most money for cancer research by the end of February. 

I'm joining Julia's team to support her efforts and I'm hoping to enlist your help. Please consider making a donation of any amount to support her campaign. Every dollar will help fund new therapies and treatments and help save lives.  

We were lucky to have access to new treatments for Betsy's leukemia. Now Julia wants to help others have the same chance at a cure.
