I have signed up as a Student of the Year Canidate in honor of all the people in my life affected with cancer. I have 2 main people in my life being affected by blood cancer. First, being my mom who has battled cancer multiple times in her life, and is currently diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), and she is currently in remission. The second person in my life is my close friend Amelia. At the end of October 2021, after suffering back pain during cross country season, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). She is currently in her second phase of treatment. Since October, she has had a really rough time going through tough chemo and multiple serious infections. I am doing this fundraiser because I want to help the LLS cure blood cancers. So please help me in my mission, and donate to help cure blood cancers!

Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
