Hello!
We, Natalie Sanchez, Anahi Sanchez, and Virgil Guo, are very excited to share with you that our team, Railers for Ronni, is participating in The Leukemia Lymphoma Society's Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. Student Visionaries of the Year is a 7-week philanthropic competition for high school leaders seeking to make an impact in the fight against cancer. This cause is incredibly important to us because blood cancer, specifically leukemia, is the most commonly diagnosed form of cancer in children and young adults.

One of our classmates, Ronni Horn, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia last year. When presented with this life-changing opportunity, we immediately thought to run our campaign in Ronni's honor! Today, Ronni and their mother are joining us in our mission to kick cancer to the curb! The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) has helped countless individuals through its Co-pay Assistance Program and is currently the leading free blood cancer information distributor to families in need! We hope to help them continue their research to cure blood cancer, and we also hope to help our friends like Ronni overcome their most difficult times!

Railer for Ronni's fundraising goal is to raise $50,000 between January 18th and March 10th. It is a lofty goal, but we are determined to leave a mark on the fight against cancer to the best of our ability. We cannot achieve this goal alone, and we need your support. There are a few ways you can support my fundraising efforts:

  • Make a tax-deductible donation to our online fundraising page, which is here!
  • Share our message and fundraising link with your contacts via email or social media
  • Donate a silent auction item for the Grand Finale Celebration auction
  • Help us secure a corporate sponsorship (Sponsorships start at $5,000, and sponsors receive Grand Finale benefits)

Not only is Student Visionaries of the Year a great way to support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), but it is also a great leadership experience for us. Being part of this campaign means so much to us, and we are proud to help our generation be the last to see cancer.

I can't wait to share the exciting updates of the next seven weeks with you. Stay tuned to see what our team accomplishes. Thank you for being so supportive, and please let us know if you have any questions!

Sincerely,

Virgil Guo, Natalie Sanchez, Anahi Sanchez

Ronni Horn
