Dear Friends,
Today, almost everyone in the US knows someone who has been affected by blood cancer. On average, every 3 minutes someone unwillingly joins this arduous fight. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) sponsors a fundraising competition for high school students to make a difference and help those in need. Representing Team Fly4aCure, we have the greatest honor and pleasure to be a part of this amazing “Maryland Student Visionaries of the Year” fundraising campaign.
We have put together a team of students interested in leadership, philanthropy, and service from schools throughout Maryland to help us raise $100,000 for LLS. The money goes directly to care for local patients who battle blood cancers. This year we have the privilege of honoring a local hero, Haley Ashton, a college student at UMBC, and a blood cancer survivor, who has made it her mission to spread awareness through her story.
As part of the most successful legacy team in Maryland, in 2020, Neelam Shah and Naggena Ohri hosted an amazing multicultural event, showcasing local youth talent. 4 years later, we are proud to present Rhythm 2024 on January 27th, 2024, at Leonardtown High School in Leonardtown, Maryland. We hope that this event will allow families to get together, enjoy beautiful performances, and raise awareness and funds for a great cause. Entertainment, food, a fabulous silent auction, and fun awaits. Please visit our website at www.fly4acure.org and help spread the word. Large or small, your support of this worthy effort is greatly appreciated. Sponsors will be recognized with banners, social media presence, and a special VIP reception.
But we need your help. We are currently seeking Corporate Sponsorship for our campaign. We are reaching out to you now! Tax-deductible donations pledged now, would not be due until February 2024. We are currently accepting pledges from corporations and small businesses in our community to help support our efforts. Please review the enclosed Partnership Opportunities Packet. Sponsorships at or above the Junior Partner Level will also be recognized, at the state level, at the Maryland Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Grand Finale Gala in February 2024.
Thank you so much for any help you can give to Team Fly4aCure! If you have any questions, please contact us at (fly4acuresomd@gmail.com) or (301-884-0278). We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, January 27, 2024!

My donation is in honor of everyone trying to fight this disease, with a special shout-out to Mike Cooper. This donation is also in memory of my brother Leo Jett. Never give up hope and stay positive. With prayers and research we can all acknowledge and dedicate our hopes to a more curable future.
