Imagine a monster. A huge, vicious, power-hungry monster that devours everything in its path. It stops for no one, continuing on its endless rampage for as long as it wants. This monster is cancer. With an estimation of nearly 2,000,000 cancer diagnoses in the United States in 2023 alone, cancer takes the lives of millions every single year. Think about it--5,400 diagnoses per day. Imagine the sheer size of that number if we think of all the other countries. It's unimaginable. 

Of course, with every monster comes a hero, battling the monster with a glistening shield and sword. We are part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma society to become those heroes. And you can too. 

My name is Brithi Settipalle, and I am a part of LLS's Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign as a member of the team ANSWER 4 CANCER, striving to raise funds to find a cure for blood cancer once and for all. I am doing this to support cancer patients around the world, and hopefully be a piece in the puzzle of curing cancer. Our goal is to raise the highest amount of money possible to promote and fund blood cancer research. 

But we cannot do it alone. Every hero has support along the way. Our goal is huge, and we need all the help we can get. It is with your donation that we can move forward with our cause, and keep the fight going. My goal is to reach $2,500 for this campaign. Any donation, from $1 - $1,000, even just telling your friends, is incredibly helpful in our cause, and you are helping the numerous individuals out there looking for a cure.
