I decided to dedicate my time to LLS and SVOY because I believe it is important to help cancer research expand into new areas. Things that are being researched using the funds that LLS provides could end up helping people in the future who were in a similar situation as my mom, where standard of care wasn't even seen as a viable option. I believe that new treatment options are the future frontline in the fight against cancer, and LLS is helping to fund research for these treatments.
