Maggie's Student Visionaries of the Year Maryland Fundraiser
Hi, I'm Maggie Hutchinson and welcome to my fundraising page for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!
Thank you for your time and I hope you consider making a donation.
About me:
I am currently a sophomore at St. Mary's Ryken and I'm in the Biomedical Science Scholars Program. I am also part of the fine arts department (choir and theater), aswell as the ice hockey team. This is my first year as a LLS team member and I was inspired by Emilie Garrabrant to join the Fly4ACure team. LLS is important to me because along with many other families, I've seen a member of my family suffer and go through the hardships that come with cancer.
From January 14th through March 4th we will be competing with other student across the DMV to see who can raise the most funds and awareness for LLS's mission to cure blood cancers. We will be hosting fundraising events, reaching out to businesses for sponsorships, and making personal asks to our community.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
