Hi!, my name is Laila Peterson and I am currently a senior in highschool. Some of my hobbies include hanging out with friends, watching tv, and martial arts. My favorite color is blue but pink is a close second. My dream job is being a chief justice on the Supreme Court (preferably chief justice) and before I finish college, I'd love to study abroad somewhere. This is what I look like:
and this is why I joined this campaign:
I am so excited to help survivors and current fighters in any and every way I can! Thanks for checking out this post and I hope you'll help me support those that have/are battling cancer.

"I won't give up, no I won't give in
'Til I reach the end and then I'll start again"
-- Shakira
This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
Each visionary has a different purpose for why they joined this campaign and why they continue to fight to raise funds. I initially joined because I was comitted to helping a friend out with their campaign, but as I learned more about this organization and what they work to do, my purpose for helping out changed. I don't just want to be moral support or help out in the bare minimum way, I want to be as active as I can and inspire more people to help out in all the ways they can. Every journey is tough, but as Shakira said, "I won't give up, no I won't give in 'til I reach the end". And, when I reach my goal, I will turn around and "start again" by continuing to support this organization as best I can!
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society funds research, provides free education, and advocates for positive change, but most of all they provide a way for people, who want to make a difference but don't know where to start, to contribute to this life changing campaign.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Any amount from $1-$1000 will have a huge positive effect in this fight.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for contributing to the fight for an Answer 4 Cancer!!
