World Cancer Day (2/4)

Jan 31, 2023

This Saturday, February 4th, is World Cancer Day.

In this day's honor, LLS shares the story of Daniel Patton. Patton was healed of cancer as a child, but 20 years later, he's still feeling the effects of the harsh treatment. Kids deserve better cancer treatment, which is why LLS has their Dare to Dream initiative, and wanted to share these scary statistics:

"They [those treated with cancer as children] are twice as likely to develop at least one chronic condition, eight times more likely to die of cardiac causes, and about four times more likely to suffer from a stroke. "

Thankfully, there is still hope.

Survivor Spotlight: Jude

Jan 24, 2023

Right now, LLS is funding a $175 million program called the Dare to Dream project. The purpose of it is to support children's care for both them and their families. Children are not just mini adults - they are completely different beings and the Dare to Dream project aims to treat them as such.

This is Jude. Jude was only able to be helped because of one of their new immunotherapy drugs. It worked after just ten days, and their family has been able to call her a cancer-free 3rd grade student. With the help of your donations, kids just like Jude will be able to get the treatment they need. Thank you.

Ravens Football for sale???

Jan 21, 2023

01.21.2023
One of our co-candidates on the team just got a football signed by a Ravens player for our Silent Auction!

If you don't know what the silent auction is, it's an event at Grand Finale (March 4th) that raises more money by selling items in the team's name. We're so excited! If you have any more ideas for items that we could sell at this auction, do not hesitate to reach out :)

basketball game 1/17

Jan 20, 2023

We had the privilege of working with the Middletown High School team to create a Red Out for the cause during the Oakdale vs. Middletown basketball game - it was so great seeing everyone in the stands come out and support the cause! Thank you to all who donated, we had a lot of fun :)
