Kaelin's Student Visionaries of the Year Maryland Fundraiser

Jan 11, 2023

Hi!  My name is Kaelin Embrey and I am a 10th grader at Governor Thomas Johnson High School.  I am currently active in SGA and FBLA.  I play softball, basketball and volleyball for my school and other club teams.  In the future, I would like to purse a job in environmental management or physical rehab.  My WHY in deciding to join LLS is because I've always wanted to support those in need and give back to my community. By joining LLS, I have the chance to contribute to the fight for a cure for cancer and to raise funds and awareness for those who need our help.  Donations from someone like you can help tremendously!!

Kaelin's Student Visionaries of the Year Maryland Fundraiser

Oct 16, 2022

Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!

Kaelin! What a stand you are taking as a VISIONARY; to make such a bold commitment against Luekemia & Lymphoma. Several young friends, years ago, passed away from the scourge of Luekemia; a very dear friend passed away from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, when she was a new Mom; my Father-in-Law fought the hard battle and tragically passed away from adult-onset Luekemia; your Mom's cousin's husband fought for 2-years with a cancer blood disease and sadyly passed away before Thanksgiving of 2022. My/our heart(s) continues to ache for all these precious dear-ones and family membrers....all these years later...Thank you for doing this for them and others still battling..and hopefully, put an end to Leukemia and Lymphoma. Your Visionary participation in this fundraiser is awesome! I/we am super proud of you for this huge commitment and LOVE who you are! XO Great-Auntie Deb & Great-Uncle Bob
