Hello everyone!

I am so excited today is kickoff day! Now is the time to start donating to help me reach my goal of $2,500! To learn more about the cause- read my previous posts! Thank you all so much! Let's do this!

Hello everyone! My name is Emerson Sprinkel, and I am a Sophomore at McDonogh School. 

This year, I am a proud member of one of McDonogh’s LLS Team- Soaring and Curing. I am so privileged to have the opportunity to work with an amazing group of people for an amazing cause. Together, we are a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission:

To cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics, and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients

- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.

- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

My “why”: I’ve joined this cause on behalf of all of my family members and friends who have been affected by all types of cancer. Thanks to the support of generous donations, my team’s efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer. My current goal is $2,500, but I am determined to continue my efforts and raise as much as possible.
