Maggie's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Hello there! My name is Maggie Kelly and I am a junior attending Archbishop Spalding High School. I play ice hockey and lacrosse and am involved in many clubs and activities within my school and my community.
This is my first year being a part of this great organization to raise money for the Student of The Year Foundation for Leukemia, Team White Out Blood Cancer 2 Liv. The reason I decided to join this fundraiser was not to make my college resume look better, but simply because I want to make a difference in an organization that will help thousands of people find a cure for a disease we all wish never existed. Knowledge of what my fellow teammates and I are doing will help put a smile on someone's face is the biggest reason WHY am I doing this.
You make ask WHY you should consider donating to this fundraiser? Think about those individuals who wish they could have a happy and healthier life just like you. Think about the kids who just want to be able to go outside and enjoy their young years. Think about teenagers who want to drive and get their first car. Or go to school dances and enjoy their teenage years without having to be in and out of treatment and miss those special moments in life. I ask you to think about the little things they go through on a daily basis that most of the same-aged kids don't. If your donation is only $1, you are helping in so many ways.
Thank you for your time and consideration to help raise money for the White Out Blood Cancer 2 Liv, Student of The Year Leukemia Foundation.

Maggie's Students of the Year Fundraiser
I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?
As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org
