Maddy's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Hi, everyone!
Welcome to my LLS Fundraising Page!
My name is Maddy Keys and I'm a sophomore at Mount de Sales Academy and I'm part of the team Horton's Heroes. This year, I made the choice to join the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Students of the Year Campaign! I'm so excited to be a part of and support LLS directly because this is a cause that I am very close to. My family and I have always supported LLS, but the opportunity to work with them directly has been incredible and I'm so excited to be a part of this extraordinary organization!
I decided to join this program for a number of reasons. Over the course of my life time, I've lost 2 grandmothers, my grandfather, and my aunt to cancer. Most recently, in May of 2021, I lost my grandmother to cervical cancer. She was a light to everyone she met and you were always in her prayers. I would have given anything for a cure to have existed then. But, through this cause, you and I can work together so that no family ever has to go through what my family and so many others have. With the help of people like you, LLS can continue and come closer to achieving their mission; to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma and to improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their families.
Thanks to your support, the funds that my team and I raise will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers. Your donation will directly impact people who are battling with this illness and their families.
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients, but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers.
We are so much closer to acheiveing our goal that most people realize!
Any donations you can give would mean so much to my team and I. Not only do they support the mission and research of LLS, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please come visit my website often and tell you friends to take a look as well!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org

Keep up the good work, Horton's Heroes. May God grant you special blessings for supporting this worthy cause. The world should have more giving people (whether of time, talent and treasures) like yourselves!
