Hello, my name is Jasmine Sonpar and I am a Junior at Mount Hebron High School! I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. 
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day. 

When I was young, my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and it has come back recently for round two. Infact, my other grandmother had also beat breast cancer and is now battling a blood disease. 

It has been devastating to my family to watch her battle cancer once again. Thankfully, she is winning her battle but it has brought my attention to the miracle of cancer research and treatments. Blood Cancer research helps many cancers such as breast cancer. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund these therapies and treatments that are saving lives such as both my grandmother's.
