Manasa's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Hi! I'm Manasa Iswara, a candidate representing Team Fly4ACure in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Students of the Year Maryland Campaign. I am so thrilled to see that you have taken the time to look at my page and potentially support our cause! Every little penny counts towards research, support of patients, survivors, and families, and, ultimately, finding a cure for cancer. I really hope that you can donate towards this great cause and help us strive for a cancer free world!
About Me
My name is Manasa Iswara! I am a sophomore at Leonardtown High School. You may know my parents, Narasimham and Usha Iswara, or my sister, Harita Iswara! Let me tell you a bit about myself and why I support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, playing/listening to music, and playing tennis. I have always loved being involved with people around me so I'm part of many student run organizations and Students of the Year fits right into all of that! Many of my friends and family have been so heavily impacted by cancer throughout my life that when I heard about this program, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to participate. Last year's Team Fly4ACure Candidates, Neelam Shah and Naggena Ohri, reached out and asked me to be a Team Member. I had a blast as a Team Member during the 2020 Campaign and I learned so much from the experience, but the most rewarding part is that I know that we helped people who are fighting blood cancers. I was so thrilled when Neelam and Naggena nominated Hemani Kumar and I as the new Fly4ACure Candidates for the 2021 SOY Campaign and I am proud of the working we are doing right now! We have built an incredible team of hard-working and kind-hearted individuals that I know will do their very best. I am so passionate about LLS's cause and I hope you can consider donating on my page or sharing my mission/page with others that you know.
Remember, beating cancer is in our blood!

About LLS's Mission
What is The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and what do they do?
As a global leader in the fight to end cancer, LLS is committed to doing more for blood cancer patients and families than any organization in the world. LLS’s signature fundraising campaigns drive critical support for its mission, including a nearly $1.3 billion investment in cutting edge cancer research worldwide since it was founded in 1949. Since the 1960s, survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled.
Every facet of LLS’s mission – research, education and support, and policy and advocacy – work in harmony to put blood cancer patients and their families first. LLS has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout its more than 70-year history, even funding breakthrough blood cancer research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures that is now helping patients with other cancers and diseases. That is why at LLS we say that beating cancer is in our blood.
Please visit my website as often as you can and share it with everyone you know who would also like to join us in the fight against cancer. Together, we have the power, the passion and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer. All donations are tax-deductible.
On behalf of cancer patients and their families everywhere, I sincerely thank you for your support!
