Declan's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, welcome!
Hello, I am Declan Drust, a team member of the local Rebel's For a Cure LLS team and a hard working student at South Hagerstown High School. I do not have a close relationship with anyone facing cancer, however my goals as a hard worker has led me to get myself involved in today's society. Cancer has been a major issue across the globe, and given the status of our world during this pandemic, I wanted to find the best way to get involved. When the opportunity to join the LLS Campaign to raise money for blood cancers came, I took that and have spent months preparing for it.
Throughout preparation process of this year's campaign, I heard about the great stories of survivors and even those related to my fellow teammates. As a result, it pushed me to work even harder to strive for as many donations as I can get. I know that every bit of my influence can expand the donations and support for the families and people who face blood cancers. Just know that your donation will do so much for those fighting cancers and those families financially stuggling. When considering your opportunity to donate, think of those struggling and think of how you can expand this campaign by tellings others of this fight.
Below are the facts, history, and more about your support behind the LLS Foundation. Please take time to consider a donation because every little bit will help!
I encourage you to join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. By donating to LLS, you support the many facets of LLS’s mission work from investing in groundbreaking research, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer. My appreciation for your support cannot be overstated — each and every dollar donated to LLS brings us closer to our goal to end blood cancer and makes an impact for cancer patients and their families.
As a global leader in the fight to end cancer, LLS is committed to doing more for blood cancer patients and families than any organization in the world. LLS’s signature fundraising campaigns drive critical support for its mission, including a nearly $1.3 billion investment in cutting edge cancer research worldwide since it was founded in 1949. Since the 1960s, survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled.
Every facet of LLS’s mission – research, education and support, and policy and advocacy – work in harmony to put blood cancer patients and their families first. LLS has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout its more than 70-year history, even funding breakthrough blood cancer research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures that is now helping patients with other cancers and diseases. That is why at LLS we say that beating cancer is in our blood.
Please visit my website as often as you can and share it with everyone you know who would also like to join us in the fight against cancer. Together, we have the power, the passion and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer. All donations are tax-deductible.
On behalf of cancer patients and their families everywhere, I sincerely thank you for your support!

Our son Alec was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at the age of 16. He is now 29 years old, recently married and has been cancer free for 12 years. We are very happy to support this worthwhile cause and continue to pray for a cure to cancer.

I chose to donate to this cause because Declan Drust is a man of character. If he supports a cause, then I support it as well. Likewise, if he sees a cause as worthy of donation, then I do as well.

I am here to support a good cause. This is not just a campaign, but a way to connect with others. I think of this as a great way of contributing to your community. For me, I would like to help this world and cure cancer but this is as close as I can get at the moment. So, I will embrace this moment and hopes for nothing but great things for this great organization.
