I am honored to be selected as a 2020 candidate for the Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year. The mission of our team, BEST BLOODS CRUSH CANCER, is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

LLS is a nonprofit organization that funds research to find more treatments for blood cancers. In the last 18 months, the FDA approved 25 blood cancer treatments - 20 of them LLS funded!  Blood cancers affect people of all ages and every 3 minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer. Chances are you know someone or of someone who has battled or is battling a blood cancer. I am proud to run this campaign in honor of my Aunt Jenny who is a Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma survivor! I know our efforts and the funds raised will help fund the therapies and treatments that save lives and improve the quality of life for those impacted and living with blood cancers.

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
