Students of the Year Baltimore
Aaron Augustine | Team Miracle Workers
Welcome to Aaron Augustine's SOY Fundraising Page!
Hello! My name is Aaron Augustine and I am a 16 year old student at Middletown High school in Middletown Maryland. When I was eight months old, I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia which is a type of Leukemia Cancer that took over my body. I was given less than a thirty percent chance of survival. The only way I would live was to have someone match my bone marrow perfectly in order to complete a bone marrow transplant. My brother, Alec Augustine, who was two years of age at the time, was the perfect match and he saved my life. My brother is a hero to me and I would not be here today if it was not for him. So, this upcoming January I am taking on a huge task to help kill cancer called Student of the Year campaign by the Leukemia Lymphoma society. It is a campaign that lasts seven weeks where students have to raise as much money as possible. My goal is to raise $55,000 in this short span of time, but the amazing part is when I hit $50,000 I can fund a research project, I want to fund the cancer I had, where I get updates on new discoveries the doctors are making. If you help me reach that goal I can update you too on new discoveries, if you would like me to. Thank you so much and I hope you consider helping me! Please feel free to share my page with family and friends!

Nick, passed away of Leukemia, 12 December 2006, at the University of Washington Medical Center Hospital. He was 29 years of age. Nick taught me little things like how to use the parking ticket to pay at the machines at the exit at SeaTac and every time I travel through SeaTac I think of him. Nick executed like no other security engineer at work and he was a friend to so many and can only imagine how much his family misses him.
