Hello! My name is Aaron Augustine and I am a 16 year old student at Middletown High school in Middletown Maryland. When I was eight months old, I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia which is a type of Leukemia Cancer that took over my body. I was given less than a thirty percent chance of survival. The only way I would live was to have someone match my bone marrow perfectly in order to complete a bone marrow transplant. My brother, Alec Augustine, who was two years of age at the time, was the perfect match and he saved my life. My brother is a hero to me and I would not be here today if it was not for him. So, this upcoming January I am taking on a huge task to help kill cancer called Student of the Year campaign by the Leukemia Lymphoma society. It is a campaign that lasts seven weeks where students have to raise as much money as possible. My goal is to raise $55,000 in this short span of time, but the amazing part is when I hit $50,000 I can fund a research project, I want to fund the cancer I had,  where I get updates on new discoveries the doctors are making.
