Students of the Year Baltimore

Michelle and Elan Foutch | Team Rebels for a Cure

Welcome to Michele and Elan Foutch's SOY Fundraising Page!

Mar 05, 2019

Folks we made it to our final week of the 2019 Students of the Year Campaign.

It is truly incredible that our family, friends and community have worked so hard these last few weeks to help raise money for LLS.

To campaign alongside of LLS means there will be financial aid provided and research funding BECAUSE OF YOU!!!

Elan and I will be heading to our BIG LLS GALA Event THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 9th.

There is so much for us to celebrate - it's going to be an emotional evening!

We hope to still raise money at the Gala!!! Those of you that would still like to donate to our team, Rebels for a Cure, CAN!!!

You can log into the Gala Auction Website where you can bid on items and make donations the night of the Gala: https://2019soymd.auction-bid.org/microsite

LET’S KICK CANCERS ASS

Week #4

Feb 13, 2019

Week #4 of the LLS fundraising has been exciting!!!

We have our Pediatric Movement Center Event(s) for our kiddos this Saturday, Feb 16.

Cushwa Brewing Co has brewed a very special IPA (Rebels for a Cure IPA) that The BroadAxe will be tapping Friday, Feb 15 at 5pm - to support and raise money for LLS.

I am excited to be apart of something BIGGER than ANY ONE PERSON! I am excited and hopeful that one day, through donations, that blood cancers are no more OR that we have a cure for EVERY CHILD!

No child, No mother, No father, No sister, No brother, No family memeber should EVER have to go through this - - -EVER!

Week#3 - World Cancer Day

Feb 04, 2019

April 20, 2016 @ 4:30pm

"We think Elan has leukemia. Children's National in Washington DC is waiting for you to arrive with Elan. Do you have someone to drive you...now?"

A date, A time, A voice, A call, I will never forget.

Today is World Cancer Day and we are in Week #3 of fundraising for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Elan and I decided to say YES to our teammate (and friend) Mackenzie McCarter.
We decided to raise awareness!
We decided to support each other and ALL warriors!
We decided that we are going to KICK CANCERS ASS by doing a lot of cool fundraisers in only 7 weeks!!!
We are tired, We are thinking nonstop, We are ready to GO BIG with our "Rebels for a Cure"

Folks - THIS Saturday, Feb 9 from 8am-11am we have Mackenzie's Health and Wellness Expo at the
Maugansville Ruritan Club

So. . .I am asking all of my family, friends and community to do this with us!! I wish no other child, son, daughter, mother, father or family to have to ever ear those words - Your child has cancer!

Week #2

Jan 28, 2019

Did you know that boys diagnosed with Leukemia are on active treatment for 3.5 years, if we are lucky enough to not have any chemo holds do to low blood counts or reactions to medications? Did you know that when a child is diagnosed you will spend AT LEAST a full 3 weeks (if not longer in the hospital)? (At diagnoses - we were in the hosptial for 32 days).

Elan was on MANY chemo holds for low counts and reactions that almost took him away from us. Many times Elan was extremely ill but guess what, he still had to get poked and he still had to have the poison of chemo pushed through his body.

#Week1

Jan 21, 2019

Kickoff date was Jan 19, 2019.

Elan and I are feeling a bit overwhelmed with week #1 for kickoff. Going through some pretty rough pictures for his fundraising page wasn't easy. But. . . We are going to Embrace The Brave, and his amazing smile!
