Student Visionaries of the Year Boston
Sarang Bajwa | Better Steps for a Better Future
Sarang's Student Visionaries of the Year Boston Fundraiser
Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.
This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!

I am honored to say that I will be helping my team Better Steps for a Better Future, which has been nominated for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. I am writing today to ask for your support of my efforts to help LLS in its mission to ensure access to cures and treatments for blood cancers. My team and I are competing with several other Student Visionaries of the Year candidates in New England, and together they will each put their best fundraising foot forward in honor of their local honored hero, blood cancer warrior Raelyn Augusto.
In the Fall of 2021, when she was 5 years old, Raelyn was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. After months of chemotherapy and radiation, she received a bone marrow transplant in July of 2022. Although she is still in recovery and must remain isolated, she remains strong and determined throughout this journey. Raelyn has made the best of admission and doctor's visit, making beautiful connections with every person she meets. I am asking you today to join us in this ambitious campaign.
We have until April 2nd, 2023 to reach our goal of raising $50,000. Please mail your tax-deductible donation (payable to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) with Sarang Bajwa the memo line to 39 Meyer Hill Dr, Acton, MA, 01720. Or, if you prefer, you can go to my campaign website and make your contribution there by using this link or by scanning the QR code below: https://events.lls.org/ma/svoyboston23/sarangkbajwa . Your donation will prevent someone from losing a child, sibling, parent, or loved one and allow LLS to continue funding life-saving research. Please reach out to others you know and ask them to contribute as well. I have found that so many of the people I talk to about our campaign have a connection to blood cancer and want to support LLS. I want to thank you in advance for your generous support of LLS.
