This past summer we, Enna Huseinovic and Viktor Insanic, have been fortunate enough to be invited to join the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and join their mission and everything they stand for. Viktor and I are running for Student of the Year, a seven-week leadership program for high schoolers like me, and through the course of these seven weeks, we are trying to raise money for the research of these blood cancers.  

Leukemia can be devastating for many families, having the highest rate for children and teens. That's why I am so thankful to be part of this team and their message. Through LLS and their mission, we will find a cure for blood cancers like these. I am lucky to have been given this opportunity but we cannot do it without your help.  

We are leading a team of strong, committed members that plan on following through with me on this journey.  100% of the profits we make will go towards cancer research programs nationwide, helping fund new developments and maintain funding for ongoing research. Thanks to LLS, many forms of cancer research have been funded and have been successful.  

We would like you to meet our Honored Hero, Kyle Burgos. He is 17 years old, born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. In 2019, Kyle started showing signs of Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma. By the time he made it to the hospital and by the time he noticed it, he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He was so strong, going through intense chemo for 6 months, and thankfully went into remission in November of 2019. Unfortunately, he relapsed in April of 2020. Fortunately, he went back into remission, but the chances of his cancer coming back are high. He took the option of receiving a bone marrow transplant at our local Boston Children's Hospital, and his body took it well! He has been doing well, and still is! We are so grateful we got to hear his story and can share it with you.
