Tvisha's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Mar 02, 2021

Hi everyone!

My name is Tvisha Devireddy, and I’ve been nominated to raise money for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society (LLS). I’ve been leading a team to participate in the Students of the Year Program, where several highschoolers across the country compete to fundraise for LLS. Our goal is to raise $20,000 in only THREE more weeks. Please donate as SOON as you can to this link- we have limited time for you to support this amazing cause! All donations of any size are greatly appreciated and will make meaningful change in the lives of blood cancer patients.

Every three minutes, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer.  LLS is the second most deadly childhood cancer, and most commonly affects children between the ages of 1 to 4. Despite these unfortunate statistics, LLS is an organization that supports research about blood cancers and other diseases like multiple sclerosis. They’ve invested 1.3 billion dollars into research developing a cure to blood cancer, and so far, they’ve funded 58 out of 68 FDA approved cancer treatments. Based on this, I know that LLS will find a cure for blood cancer, and in the meantime, they support cancer patients and their families and work to improve their quality of life. LLS offers patient access so patients can navigate their treatment with the help and support of others who’ve gone through it before. They also advocate for new policies that increase patients’ access to treatments, and hope to reform the restrictions surrounding health care.

However, I’ve also gained an amazing opportunity through the Students of the Year Program, and that is to work with my team to help prevent and find a cure for blood cancers through community service. We come from different walks of life and  a unique network of contacts, which we’ve used to spread awareness about blood cancers. Through consistent meetings and dedicated effort, we’ve created various means of receiving donations and planned how to run our campaign in an effective way. Ultimately, we’ve cherished this opportunity to make a difference in this world, and hope you can help us do so.

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well. Please spread awareness and share this donation page with your friends and family!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere we thank you for your support!
