Hello, and Welcome To My Fundraising Page!

I am so excited to be part of the 2021 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which high school students like me participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. As a candidate this year, I am looking forward to working with my teammates to raise critical dollars in honor of patients who are currently battling or are in remission from any type of blood cancer.

I was introduced to this disease when I was in 5th grade, only 10 years old, when my dad was diagnosed with a stage-4, rare, blood cancer. At the time, I didn't know what it meant; I just knew that my dad was getting treatment and he was going to get better. Even though unknown to me at the time, that was not really the case. A big reason why I was not preoccupied with thoughts like losing my dad was because of research that was funded by LLS both in 1980 and 2001 that studied his specific type of cancer. Now, almost 7 years later, I truly appreciate all of the experiences I've had with my family, and have decided that it is time to give back.

Especially in times like these, the healthcare community deserves our support more than ever. And what better way to give back than to an organization that helped my family, and millions of others, during the most difficult years of their lives?

LLS's continued advancements over the years are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling, and in some cases, even quadrupling. Thanks to your support, our efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that will help save lives today.

All donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
