Hello! My name is Kara Friend and I am a junior at Boyertown Area Senior High School. As my school year continues, I have decided to continue to be involved in an incredibly important cause that changes lives. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) holds an annual fundraiser for blood cancer called Student Visionaries of the Year, or SVOY. This fundraiser runs from January 6th to February 25th. This year I have the wonderful opportunity to be a team leader. I manage a group of highly dedicated and hardworking people that are a part of my team; Team M.A.D.E (Make A Difference Everyday). Any donation amount helps! I am asking for donations not only because it is an essential cause, but also because I understand the severity of cancer. I have witnessed the effects of cancer and how it affects the patient and their peers. Making a donation of any kind helps this cause tremendously!
