Throughout my whole life, Leukemia has been all around me. From cousins, to neighbors, dear friends, and loved ones, everyone has a connection to someone fighting cancer. It was these survivors that first inspired me to begin this incredible journey. Once I saw Jackson Stark - our local honored hero- my inspiration became a passion. Jackson was diagnosed with Stage 4 T-Cell ALL. Yet, after eight long months of intense treatments, he beat cancer. Not only did Jackson's story inspire me, but it gave me a mission- Jackson and millions like him are now my “why”.  

I am honored to have been nominated as one of the 2021 Students of the Year candidates for LLS. Between January 28th and March 19th, I will be leading fundraising efforts to help find the cure to blood cancers. My team, Hearts for Heroes, is working extremely hard to meet and succeed a very lofty fundraising goal of $50,000. We are proud to represent survivors and confident that our efforts will help cancer patients all around the world. We have been given this amazing opportunity to help others and are very grateful for the chance. However, in order for us to reach this goal, we need YOU to fight alongside us in the race for change!
