In 2015, just after turning 13 years old, I ran for LLS Man of the Year. Through tremendous support from people like you, I was able to raise $63,000 and won the title of 2015 LLS Man of the Year. They tell me I was the youngest candidate ever to run and the amount we raised is still a record in the Kentucky/Southern Indiana region. In 2016, I was honored as the LLS Boy of the Year and worked with all MWOY candidates to help motivate them in their fundraising efforts.

Now I am a candidate for 2018 Student of the Year! 

Select high school students from our region are participating in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The competition runs from February 22, 2018 to April 12, 2018. This time I have decided to take a different approach. I turn 16 years old on March 12, 2018 and have decided to ask for donations to LLS instead of birthday presents. So here is my challenge to you:

• Email, write, call or text all your friends & relatives and tell them you have accepted the Reece King LLS Birthday Challenge
• Ask them if they would consider making a Donation to LLS before April 12, 2018 instead of buying you a present for your next Birthday

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
