Welcome to Jordan Cunningham's SOY Fundraising Page!

Feb 05, 2019

As you know,  everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, our efforts can help support many people who have been affected by these horrible cancers. One of those people is my little brother Blake. Blake was diagnosed at only 16 months old and went through 4 years of endearing pain and endless treatments. Because of people like you and their donations, the LLS can help to provide care and treatment for other patients like Blake and someday find a cure. A cure is the only way for these families and patients to end the continuous suffering and never experience what Blake and his family had to.

As a high school student, you do not normally think about things like cancer or fundraising. You are focussed on sports, prom, finals, and graduation. Well for me that's different. When I was about 3 years old my little brother was diagnosed with Leukemia. This has impacted all of our families lives forever. So I decided to do something about it and instead of spending all my senior year thinking about myself I am putting time into other people. I am campaigning to be Student of the Year not only for all of the wonderful donations that go towards finding a cure but also to raise the awareness for other families that are struggling with this terrible disease. This is why I ask you today to please take some time out of your day and donate to this wonderful cause. You will not only be helping the families that are already struggling but you will also help those future families and maybe even your kids to not ever have to encounter this again. I thank you so much.

Welcome to Jordan Cunningham's SOY Fundraising Page!

Oct 17, 2018

I am honored to participate in the 2019 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I am proud to be raising critical dollars in honor of a young patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer. Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student(s) of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.

Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!
