By joining me, you are supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) drive to end blood cancer.  Groundbreaking research, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer are all ways your support is changing the lives of others, in the present or the future.

My goal as a young adult has always been to give back to others' no matter the circumstances. Making an impact in someone else's life, I believe, is the way to allowing yourself to look beyond a barrier of your four walls and enjoy the little things in life. If I can positively contribute to one blood cancer patient's journey, I will do everything I can to help. Fortunately, my family and I have been healthy and not directly impacted by blood cancer. However, my mom works to treat many types of cancer every day. this has shown me the hardships patients must fave in order to reach remission, and my team and I want to make that journey a little less stressful. 

The mission of LLS is, not only to find a cure for blood cancer, but also to improve the lives of blood cancer patients, and your donation will contribute to both of those goals. Nearly $1.3 billion have been raised and invested into the world's most cutting edge research since founded in 1949, and in only three years, LLS has helped advance 57 out of 66 FDA approved treatments. But there is still more work to be done, every 3 minutes somebody hears the news that they’ve been diagnosed with a blood cancer, and that is unacceptable.  Leukemia also remains the #1 most diagnosed form of cancer in children and young adults, and, while survival rates have increased significantly over the years for many types of leukemia, the treatments remain too toxic. 80% of childhood cancer survivors develop a chronic health condition from their treatment. That’s because children are being treated the same way as adults, oftentimes resulting in devastating side effects. In the past 4 decades, only 4 cancer drugs have been created specifically for children. 

LLS has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout its more than 70-year history, even funding breakthrough blood cancer research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures that is now helping patients with other cancers and diseases. That is why at LLS we say that beating cancer is in our blood.
