Dear Friends and Family,

Throughout this year of uncertainty and hardships, I was presented with the honor of joining a battle in assisting those who are affected by blood cancers. I am beyond excited to help make a positive difference in the lives of patients and their families, as well as in the advancement of treatments. 

I decided to accept this challenge with LLS because I have had a passion in medicine for as long as I can recall, but more importantly I have a passion for helping others. Growing up, “What do you want to be when you grow up” is one of the most repeated questions. My answer has remained constant- a doctor. Until I can make a first-hand difference in the medical field, this is amazing opportunity for me to not only help others but continue to intensify my interest in medicine. After being a team member last year for this campaign, I was able to see how much of an impact that the work of the Leukemia and Lymphoma society has on people across this entire country. This year, while being a candidate myself, I hope to inspire others to join me in this battle, and to be the generation that makes a difference in cancer advancements. 

Today is the day which you have the opportunity to make a change in someone’s life, and to make a difference in the work that the Leukemia Lymphoma Society is doing for patients- both present and future.  Any contribution makes a difference. Every single dollar donated is a vote for me in this competition, and a vote to cure cancer.
