Students of the Year Indianapolis
Sophie Treend | Sophie Treend's Campaign Team
Welcome to Sophie Treend's Student of the Year Fundraising Page!!
This year, I am so very excited that I am participating in the Student of The Year competition through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in hopes to win the title of Student of the Year for 2019!
When I was nominated by some of my school peers to take up this challenge, I was automatically intimidated. This definitely took a few weeks of thinking on my part. This past summer, my friend, Claire Snyder, had been diagnosed with Leukemia, and I know that this has been a struggle for her and her family. But through and through, she has been incredibly brave and strong. When I thought about this, I automatically knew I wanted to do something.
Claire, her family, and families like them all around the world are so strong, brave, and fearless.
My goal for this year isn't just to win The Student of the Year title, but to give back to those families and kids who have been so courageous.
I believe that if we are courageous too, we can be the generation who cures cancer. For good.
